LFGB-Responsibility
Responsibility for hygiene and health!
Porcelain and any kind of tableware for kitchen, table and dining is fully subject to the law of the European Union EN 1935-2004 and its production and use are subject to strict rules, which professional hosts should know and observe particulary.
Already in 1870, Mr. Otto von Bismarck (the first German Chancellor) was quoted as saying "The shyness of responsibility is an illness of our time". We do not want to apply this wisdom to ourselves and especially not to our work and therefore we insure:
We at Holst Porzellan take responsibility for our porcelain!
Laboratory tests
Anyone who serves items to market which are intended to come into contact with food bears a great responsibility for their customers and users. We take this responsibility very seriously and take great care to ensure that all our products comply with the requirements and conditions of the German Foodstuffs Commodities Ordinance (LFGB) and do not transfer any harmful substances to the foodstuff placed on or in the product. For this purpose we regularly commission neutral laboratory institutes to test our products for compliance with the limit values.
This is not just a one-off examination! Especially new collections and decal items are subject to recurring examinations, as decisive factors can change from production to production.
Entrepreneurial damage for the health of our customers
Many sectors of the economy work on the fringes of legality and seriousness. We are not talking only about the butchers in the German meat industry - many more examples exist where the economic advantage of a company is preferred to the well-being of the customer. This video is to prove that we are different and that we put the well-being of our customers before the own economic interests of our company!
Our porcelain is suitable and tested for use with food and beverages without hesitation. We bear the responsibility for this.
