Social Competence

Child or prison labour is absolutely taboo with us! The adherence to social standards in accordance with the conditions customary in the country is of great importance and significance for us.

The implementation and application of health and safety at work is also part of our regular monitoring of the production sites that manufacture our Holst porcelain.

One of the ways we ensure this social competence is by regularly visiting our production sites with our own personnel and also seeking personal contact with the employees in production.

Unfortunately we don't feel that institutions like "FDA" and "BCSI" are the right instruments to protect social rights on the best way and thats the reason why we don't display those logos as a "seal of approval". In our own experience, a BSCI seal is absolutely not worth what it is supposed to promise the consumer. That is why we prefer to carry out audits of our factories ourselves and with our own personnel.
