The intention von Holst Porzellan/Germany

Since 1928, the name of "Holst" stands for porcelain in Germany! In the first (1928-1944) and second (1955-1980) epochs of our company's history, we sold exclusively German made porcelain, which was mainly produced under the brand names "Bavaria", "Winterling", "Eschenbach", and "Schwarzenbach". Since then, the markets, consumption and demands on porcelain have changed considerably.

In particular, the traditional product groups such as porcelain, glass (crystal glass), cutlery (silver cutlery and alpaca) and cookware (copperware) have undergone major changes in their value and the consumer index. This prompted us to launch our own collection in 1998, under our own brand porcelain not as an expensive premium name, but as a synonym for the motto "Simply & Strong".

Our main focus is on strong prices in a decent quality for customers who do not want to pay for an expensive brand when buying porcelain, but who appreciate innovative ideas and good porcelain for everyday use in a broad, coherent collection at a reasonable price.

Porzellan "Simply & Strong"

Simplicity in porcelain applies to us when much is achieved with few means. A clear, understandable language of shapes and pattern combined with an aesthetic composition of multifunctional products characterize our simplicity. Everyone must understand what it is all about and everything should be compatible with each other. Strength is represented - apart from the high resilience of our goods - above all by the favourable price! We leave out everything that makes the product more expensive and has no benefit for the user!

We have formulated this "Strong" and live it! Plain & strong porcelain does not need elaborate gift wrapping, no frills and no tútú around it. Our brand image is present, but modest. Ultimately, this is the only reason why we have been able to compete successfully against the major well-known brands since then.

Structure of our collection

In 1989 we quit with the classical kind of assortment which shows different series. The Holst porcelain collection - with more than 4,000 items and ideas in porcelain - as a holistic and compatible element with hundreds of variations. Our collection is structured in such a way that the user needs it. Those who are looking for a special item will find our entire range of products, divided into product and article groups. Are you looking for a bowl? So you will find all our bowls at a glance and not distributed and hidden on the catalogue pages of an unmanageable variety of series. 9 general product groups structure the wide collection of Holst Porzellan in a clearly understandable and well-structured way - even for the anybody untrained! With our search engine function of this webpage you will find everything quickly, just as you need it. Just for fun, enter "cheese" or "soup" in the serach machine, in order to have all our offers for this demand displayed, or find one of the largest collections of lion head bowls in arket with "Lion". Easy to find, easy to handle - this is also simply 6 strong. And for the old fashioned customer we still support a 228 paper page catalogue, if this is needed.

Many hares are the hunter's death! With such an extensive collection it is often very difficult to find your way around! In collective arrangements - porcelain arranged according to kind of companies inside the HoReCa industry, e.g. Restaurants, Cafés, Hospitals or Catering, themes and events - we show you our porcelain in inspirations to provide ideas for presentation and decoration. We have dedicated these pages to distributos and hosts alike as a bank of ideas "how do I serve what when". Currently, more than 60 kind of foods, themes and events are already collected in this illustrated database.

Duration of our collections

We differentiate between porcelain for restaurants, medical institutions (e.g. hospitals, retired homes ) for special system porcelain and typical retail goods such as decorative frogs, Easter bunnies, etc. This makes a global statement about the entire collection somewhat difficult. However, thanks to modern EDP, we are able to manage the different collections differently. In the last 3 years we have been able to achieve a delivery quota of over 96%. If one takes the custom-made products and vignettes out of this list, only a few articles remain where we get embarrassed. You can read more about this in our repurchase commitment.
