Templates & Formats

When selecting a logo/vignette template, the customer decides on the value and cost structure of the finishing. Basically, you can say that less is more.

Please note the following information when specifying a porcelain vignette:

- The fewer colours, the cheaper the logo!
- Standardised logo sizes for different articles save unnecessary costs!
- Stay within a maximum size grid of 50 x 50 mm.
- avoid filigree lines.
- avoid font sizes < 8 pt.
- avoid overlapping colours.
- Avoid colours running into each other.
- avoid the colours red, gold and platinum if possible.
- Ensure that the surface is as smooth as possible when positioning.
- avoid logos on bulbous or relief porcelain surfaces.
- Have a first lithograph made by your graphic artist and send us a copy for assessment before fixing.

The following file formats can be used by Holst Porzellan for vignette production:
- png, jpg, tiff, pdf, eps, bmp.
- Corel Draw
- Adobe Photoshop

The following prerequisites make it easier for us to handle the template data, save money and, above all, time

- Create bitmap data in high resolution (1200dpi).
- Create a scannable template for photo prints.
- EPS files with embedded CMYK profile

We will be happy to help you develop your porcelain vignette.
