Handle breakage of cups and mugs in porcelain

Is a symptomatic (apparently regular) breakage of the handle in the handle rounding and the consequence of a manufacturing error in the mould construction. Behind the contact point (handle / cup body), the handle thickness (thickness) of the cup handle is too thin and breaks apparently regularly in the same area under mechanical stress. This is a critical point, especially with drinking cups whose handle elegantly swings out of the cup body. The elegant, beautiful appearance must not be "too slim", otherwise the handle can simply be broken off the drinking vessel without brute force.

The breakage of the handle caused by production should not be confused with a normal breakage of the handle caused by mechanical action, e.g. when the handles are knocked against each other in a rack (dishwashing machine).
