Material:
This item is made of feldspar porcelain, one of the oldest and most proven materials for degusting and presenting food and hot drinks. Because of the high firing temperature and the resulting hardness and density, it is also called hard porcelain. Feldspar porcelain is always oven-safe, suitable for the microwave and dishwasher-safe.
Quality level:
This item is classified into the quality level High Quality as the best sorting with a ratio of approx. 95/5 a-b-grade. The glaze is even and shiny. The item is free from visual flaws. In very few cases minor pinholes or light refractions can still be seen when reviewed carefully. As porcelain is a natural product, the item is "top" but not "perfect". This quality level is comparable e.g. with Bauscher, Schönwald, Rosenthal, Villeroy & Boch, RAK and many other well-known premium brands.

General instructions for using porcelain in the oven and pizza oven
1. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for use of your oven (pizza oven) and have this thermal appliance serviced regularly. Tubes, wires and burners can fatigue and severely affect the temperature regulating ability.
2. In principle, porcelain is always ovenproof. However, this does not mean that it is always suitable for a pizza oven! The pizza oven works at higher temperatures and under different conditions than a normal cooking oven.
3. Note that a designated fire resistance does not include direct irradiation of a baking or casserole dish with a flame or burner with any porcelain manufacturer.
4. Therefore, you first determine yourself the temperature range in which your oven or pizza oven works in normal operation. This then determines the usability of the porcelain in the pizza oven. Never use porcelain or casserole dishes with adjusting rings in a pizza oven. Only use cookware and porcelain with a flat bottom.
5. Avoid the dreaded thermal shock (hot food into cold porcelain or warm form into the refrigerator). Even grandma knew to slowly preheat the pot with warm and hot water before pouring in the hot coffee.
6. Never place the porcelain directly on the preheated bottom of a baking or pizza oven. The temperature shock is too great and the porcelain can break more easily!
7. Make sure that in a charcoal oven, i.e. a wood-fired pizza oven, the firebrick is always clean and well swept. Vibrations from moving baking dishes around in the pizza oven on dough residues and unevenness lead to an increased risk of breakage.
8. Always use a grid or wire sieve as a base for the porcelain, then you will enjoy using your oven porcelain for a long time.
9. Never place the baking dish you have just removed from the oven on a cold surface such as marble or stone slabs; not even on stainless steel work surfaces! Use a base here too, otherwise you will repeat the temperature shock, only in reverse. Use a grid or a suitable, temperature-neutral base. In most cases, a thicker kitchen towel is sufficient to put down the oven-hot baking dish.
10. Never "quench" a heated baking dish under cold water. Porcelain can easily break in this way.
11. Important: Only the designated High Alumina Porcelain and Hard Porcelain qualities are suitable for use as oven porcelain in pizza ovens at temperatures above 220 °C!
