3-level porcelain tiers, made of high quality hard porcelain with a stable, screwable centre column and a carrying handle. Shelves for the use as table and dining utensils find their origin in England as a serving carrier for the pastry at teatime. This afternoon tea was usually enjoyed in comfortable armchairs in the lounge or in the library, far away from tables. There was only a small side table for tea, milk and pastries, which had to hold all the tea utensils. As the English tend to sweet rather than hearty pleasures, richly sweet cakes and pastries were to be served. Cupcakes, Scoons, Dizzle Slices, Eclairs and many other sweet treats were served with the classic tea cake. But the small side table did not offer enough space to hold all these items at teatime. So one simply went up and anchored one plate on a second one. Et voila - the Etagere was born.

Exactly this space problem is present at hospitality: To spend the offer as big as possible without losing space. This is exactly the task of our porcelain tiers. Today it finds its useful application in cafés, bistros, at the breakfast buffet and everywhere where it is important to positively stimulate the taste of the guest. On the breakfast buffet we find our Etagere practically, to store different kinds of jam, honey and Nutella, at Lunch for small fruits and side dishes and in the evening as an optical highlight for buffet and restaurant.

The unique function of the tiers from Holst Porzellan is based in the characteristic and special shaping for the service, different to the simply standard plates for other household Etagere, by developed an extra plate design for our Etagere: The edges of the plates are extra high so that the placed delicacies cannot fall down during handling and in or taking out in the restaurant service. This happens with 99% of all available tiers and causes loss of goods and cleaning costs. The Holst Porzellan shelves, even small jam jars stand safety and firmly and cannot fall off to the side.

The shelves of the ET 002 series contain:

- Level 1: 25 cm shelf plate, edge height approx. 2.0 cm
- Level 2: 20 cm shelf plate, edge height approx. 1.5
- Sturdy, chrome-plated centre bar with a round carry ring handle.

- Care recommendation: The shelf is delivered reassembled and does not require any manual skills for assembly. Carry ring and level 2can be easily screwed together by hand without tools due to the screwable bars. To assemble Level 1, you need a Phillips screwdriver to hold the locking screw on the floor (only). Please do not over-tighten all parts and screws and avoid overtightening. Please remove the chrome bar before putting it into a dishwasher and disassemble the shelf. As a precaution during storage, please screw the screws together with the plastic buffers slightly back into the bar, otherwise they will be lost. The plates are 100% dishwasher safe and in every respect robust and suitable for commercial use. Please only wash the chrome parts hand and never use it in the oven or microwave!

Finally a tip for housekeeping and the ladies: Shelves like these are also popular in bathrooms, saunas and SPA and are ideal space savers for cosmetics, soaps, bath salts and all kinds of jars.
