Design Development

Holst Porzellan is partner and developer also for CAD-controlled product planning

When it comes to cost and speed, our draftsmen are virtually unbeatable when it comes to taking a design from idea to paper. In just a few minutes, these experienced employees are able to produce two-dimensional product drawings according to specifications, turning an idea into a pictorial representation. But this art of implementation is hopelessly inferior to modern technology, is unfortunately dying out insidiously and is being replaced by computer technology and CAD.

Whether for our own products and ideas within the Holst collection or for customers' own developments, we now also realize product ideas digitally using the latest technology. Thanks to CAD (computer aided design), we can design the end product three-dimensionally, taking into account the type of production. High-performance computers help us to calculate the desired porcelain article almost exactly, taking into account its degree of shrinkage, and to display it accordingly. This enables us to realize customer wishes quickly and efficiently and to provide samples. Small change requests can be realized without much effort.
