Product Competence

Each success begins with an idea!

Many of our customers and prospective customers have come across us online because we radiate what we are with our presentation and product knowledge: Porcelain professionals! What looks to most like an ordinary cup, plate or bowl has gone through many steps of development, molding, mold making, raw material composition and various firing processes.

Porcelain is a complicated commodity. It consists of earthen raw materials whose quality and yield are very difficult to control. The molding is mostly done by hand, and it is fired at more than 1,300 °C. The manufacturing process reacts differently to temperatures, to the raw materials and even to the water hardness of the production site. There are an infinite number of sources of error that ultimately lead to an undesirable, expensive or defective product.

We know them all!

When developing collections - whether for our own brand or for OEM customers - the creation of a porcelain item begins with its positioning on the market. The value of the product and its price determine all other factors.

  • Quality target
  • Choice of the country of production
  • Choice of the production site
  • Determination of raw materials
  • Type of working moulds
  • Quantity of production per working mould
  • Composition of colors and decals
  • Sorting and quality selection
  • Utilization of the II. Choice
  • Monitoring and quality assurance of production

In more than 20 years a "QC-Manual" (Quality Management) has grown up, which is appreciated by almost all our manufacturing partners as exemplary and unique. It is not about "enforcing" the specifications - like the big chains and trading houses. For us, it is about combining the skills and capabilities of a factory with the requirements of the product.

We see ourselves as a link and team player between customer and production. Only in this way is it possible to maintain good alliances with our partner plants over decades.

Here is just one example: Already during the production of the mother mold, we are able to take preventive action against later defects in the porcelain with our many years of international experience. We accompany the mold construction of our articles ourselves and bring our knowledge already into the mold construction. Errors of the past can be transported from production to production as experience values. Above all, our production partners in all countries appreciate this support and the expansion of their production competence.

We know exactly what we do!
