The series: In its current collection, Holst Porzellan offers five bowl series made from high-quality professional porcelain. These include the festive style Ceremony with winter motifs, the playful baroque Sinfonie series, the classic ribbon relief Paris, and the two modern series Melody and Lubin. This selection of porcelain bowls covers the majority of all taste profiles and offers high-quality relief porcelain at a favourable price.
Production: Relief porcelain is one of the fine arts of porcelain production, alongside openwork porcelain. Skilled mould makers carefully draw the fine lines and patterns of the porcelain relief by hand, following the designer's specifications. The relief is then transferred to the master mould, from which the production moulds are made. This complex manufacturing process is traditionally carried out by hand. Depending on the quality and design of the porcelain relief, a production mould should be replaced after around 60 to 100 pieces of porcelain have been produced. This is because the depth and shape of the relief pattern wears off quickly, making each piece of relief porcelain unique rather than mass-produced.
