For cooks and soup lovers, the presentation ofr soup cups within the mugs and cups product group is probably very unusual. However, as the German language categorises soup cups as cups, we have dedicated a separate category to soup cups within the cups product group.
In the language of porcelain makers, the name soup cup always describes the combination of a soup top and a soup bottom, i.e. a soup top cup - to which at least one handle is attached - and a soup bottom cup together. In the language of chefs and caterers, this term does not exist and the soup cup usually only refers to the soup top cup. In order to fulfil our claim of being professionals for professionals, we occasionally combine the language of the kitchen with the language of porcelain.
