Granito - reactive-glaze on real Porcelain in grey color

The Spanish name ""Granito"" comes from the magmatic granite, which, like the porcelain, gets its enormous hardness from the fusion of feldspar and quartz. The 7th reactive glaze development by Holst on genuine hard porcelain is dedicated to this primary rock, which stands for natural stability and durability. Hardly any other earthen base material could better represent the good qualities of porcelain than granite. We have dedicated the color of the Granito porcelain to the gray sedimentary granite, which reflects the character of the neoarchaic granite with its infinite brown reactive pigments on the surface. The matte glaze has a noble appearance and reveals its membership in the family of reactive porcelain only upon close inspection. The edges are finished with a hand-painted brown brush band, forming a bridge to Holst Porcelain's other reactive lines.

Reactive porcelain of nature-related colors, such as the bold gray of the Granito line, create a modern and trendy setting for the presentation of food, reinforcing the feeling of sustainability, nature and health. This is precisely the reason of the culinary success of reactive glazes tableware. The food presented appears quieter and more subtle than on bright white porcelain, and each can be combined into unique arrangements in a large composition of reactive colors. This is the perfect platform for combining visual perception with culinary enjoyment, thus stimulating two crucial senses. In this way, dinner tables can be reinvented again and again, and the handcrafted porcelain underscores the individuality of the host and kitchen.

The unique feature of Holst Porcelain's reactive glazes real porcelain is the variety of combinations among them. Thus Granito, Coral, Musgo, Carbon, Arena, Moreno and Tierra can be served together as ""Mix & Match Porcelain"" to create exciting and always new, homogeneous serving combinations."
