At a time when the entire porcelain & ceramics industry is competing with colourful and reactive tableware, Holst Porzellan is developing a new series far removed from the colourful trend in delicate creamy white.
Designed and developed by our brand founder, the realisation of music in delicate porcelain was created. Inspired by the meaning of the word melody, a striking wave relief in horizontal, sequential lines in rising and falling pitches surrounds the porcelain elements and forms the central design element of the Melody series.
The fine porcelain body has been hardened with natural mineral additives, giving the delicate porcelain a high degree of stability. Instead of the radiant white that characterises Holst porcelain, Melody is produced in a very subtle cream-white shade, which emphasises the expression of the melodic, wavy porcelain relief without losing the characteristic of being used in combination with conventional porcelain.
Melody combines a modern design language with a slightly playful touch on the surface and creates a very individual, pleasant character to give the food served on it a noble setting. Melody is a porcelain that is dedicated to both the private and commercial host and fulfils the visual requirements of fine porcelain for special occasions, without losing any of its practicality and durability for everyday use. Melody is a porcelain series that combines very modern flatware designs with a relief and the requirements of stackability. And true to Holst Porzellan's motto "Simple & Strong" at an affordable price. The series will be launched in spring 2024 with a total of six plates consisting of the respective main sizes of breakfast, main course, soup and place plate, rounded off by an extravagant 22 cm gourmet plate. The drinks service includes 2 jug sizes, a universal cup in a stackable design and a drinking cup. For soup, cereals and desserts, Melody starts with a 400 ml soup bowl and universal bowl and for table service there is a 31 cm oval meat and serving platter. Further accessories are planned for the winter.
This makes Melody one of the outstanding new products in 2024.
