Porcelain curried sausage bowls are not only cool and funny, but also an attractive serving element for a now recognised delicacy: Curried sausage. Curried sausage has long since shed its cheap snack image and is now served as a speciality in good canteens, ski lodges and trendy restaurants.
The most common curried sausage bowls are probably the typical chips bowls in sizes 15 or 20 cm, as they are used in snack bars for both dishes. However, depending on the size of the underlying sausage, the serving method and the price, other sizes and shapes of curried sausage serving bowls are required than the typical snack bowl.
In party service and catering, curried sausage is often served as a snack or midnight snack; in trendy clubs, it is even served as a surprise for guests to increase drinks sales. Where there is a regional connection to the sausage, e.g. Thuringian, Krakauer or Westphalian, even local restaurants include the curried sausage on the menu of specialities from the region. Sliced, larded, gratinated, served with or without side dishes - the curried sausage is a popular delicacy and is served in many different ways.
In this section, we present some porcelain bowls that we consider particularly suitable for a variety of quantities, prices and occasions.
Bon appétit
