The series: In the current collection, Holst Porzellan offers five relief moulds of special cups made from high-quality professional porcelain. The collection includes the festive Ceremony style with winter motifs, the playful baroque Sinfonie series, a classic Paris ribbon relief, and the two modern Melody and Lubin series. These relief cups offer high-quality at a favourable price.
Fabrication: Relief porcelain, alongside openwork porcelain, is one of the fine arts of porcelain production. The porcelain relief's fine lines and patterns are meticulously hand-drawn into the preform by the mould maker, following the designer's specifications. Subsequently, a complex manufacturing process commences with the transfer of the relief to the master mould, from which the production moulds are created. In traditional porcelain production, all of these steps are executed manually. Depending on the quality and design of the porcelain relief, the manufacturing process should be changed after producing around 60 to 100 porcelain pieces. This ensures that each piece of relief porcelain is a unique handmade item and not mass-produced. This is because the depth and definition of the relief pattern wear out quickly.
