After the first biscuit firing the porcelain was dipped into a brown base glaze and fired. In a third process the material was brushed with small, black Metallica pigments and fired again. This process is relatively much more expensive compared to the mono firing, but ultimately ensures the unique design of the brown Tierra crockery and the suitability for commercial use of a true hard porcelain.
