Hubel

A "hubel" is the name of an old clay measure that describes a 10 kg clay rod. This term has also become established in the porcelain industry and stands for a production-ready material for turning, pressing and rolling porcelain.

In order to prevent the mass from drying out, it must be stored in tight plastic bags. If a hub of mass dries out, it can be soaked in lukewarm water and then processed again. It is also possible to store it in wet bags and damp chambers.
