Line Teardrops Slim

The three Teardrops Slim porcelain bowls are aptly named Slimbowls because they fulfil the function of a buffet and serving bowl in the smallest of spaces, i.e. in slim format. Even on the smallest tables and buffets, there is always a free corner somewhere and that is precisely why we at Holst Porzellan have given this bowl the pointed shape of the Teardrops design. Where square bowls are literally objectionable and round bowls waste important space, the wedge shape utilises even small gaps and spaces, allowing serving areas to be used efficiently. We have adapted the sizes of the bowls to the buffet requirements:

  • Dips and sauces, 13.5 x 8.0 cm with 0.12 litres

  • Medium side dishes, 24.5 x 14.5 cm with 0.50 litres

  • Large side dishes, 35.5 x 21.5 cm with 1.20 litres

If the wedge shape is used in a space-optimised way by inserting it into gaps, the space required by the three trays is reduced considerably. We have calculated the following average values

  • the length requirement of the small bowl from 13.5 to 9 cm

  • the length requirement of the medium tray from 24.5 to 14 cm

  • the length requirement of the large bowl from 35.5 to 22 cm.

The wedge shape can also be decorated as a round flower motif with 6 bowls each, achieving dream dimensions: 6 sauce bowls each 0.12 l = 0.72 l at 28 cm, 6 medium bowls each 0.50 l = 3.0 litres at 30 cm and 6 large bowls each 1.2 l = 7.2 l at 72 cm. Many other design variations are possible with the Teardrops Slim Bowls, whether as an arrangement or as a stand-alone bowl on the table.
