"Grazie, Ticino" for the art of the simplicity of fine culinary delights. Ticino, the Italian part of southern Switzerland with the cultural strongholds of Locarno and Lugano, is characterised by palm-fringed lakeshores with enchanting mountain panoramas. The traditional Ticino specialities range from simple Alpine dishes such as goat's cheese to risottos refined with finesse. Rustic Alpine cuisine with a strong hint of Italian-Mediterranean cuisine characterises Ticino's specialities.
This symbiosis of elegance and simplicity has inspired and guided us in the design of the Ticino serving bowls in pure white porcelain. A striking porcelain stem dominates the visual appearance and is neither clunky nor old-fashioned. The opening tapers slightly towards the top, making it possible to serve soups, dumplings and gravy roasts in a rustic style and conveying a touch of mountain hut magic.
The Tessin porcelain bowls have all the advantages of hard-fired hotel porcelain and are therefore perfectly suited for demanding use both in gourmet temples and snack huts. Due to the production process, Tessin has a small hole at the bottom of the handle. This is not a defect, but is necessary to allow air to escape during porcelain firing.
