Direct print transfer - the ultra-modern decor production

The technique of direct print transfer of porcelain decors represents an ultra-modern form of decor production. On the video above we show the direct printing on flat parts such as plates and platters, as well as a direct transfer of edge and band decors. This technique originates from the development of fully automatic tile production and can only be applied to straight articles or flat flags and edges.

Direct printing - as the name suggests - saves the production of decals and applies the ceramic colors directly to the body.  It also eliminates the time-consuming, manual application of decorative images as with decal decoration

Also the color selection is still (as of 10/2019) very limited and includes only green, blue, black, brown and yellow, as well as mixed colors resulting from this combination. The Kerajet direct printing transfer machines shown in the above video are extremely expensive and are only suitable for the production of large series, i.e. porcelain mass production. Even the set-up - i.e. the work preparation - of such a mega machine takes a lot of time and adjustment. As shown in the video, the production unit of the continuous direct transmission can be equipped with a decorating oven connected behind it, which virtually carries out the decorating firing in one operation.

This technique is not suitable for special shapes, hollow bodies such as cups, mugs, cans, etc.

For the sake of good order, it should be mentioned that "stamp printing" also belongs to the production method of direct printing.
