Paintbrush tape

Occasionally very popular - especially with the more affluent companies in the joint laying sector - are coloured lines and borders, so-called ribbon decors. They are mainly used to enhance system crockery and hospital porcelain. The subtle colour nuances make them appear somewhat fresher and more cheerful than pure white porcelain.

This porcelain finishing is traditionally carried out on a turning disc and requires a steady hand in the truest sense of the word. At Holst Porzellan, we still produce this type of banding by hand because industrial production is not worthwhile in view of the low demand!

That's why we are flexible and fast when it comes to ribbons! We produce such finishes on customer request from a quantity of 600 porcelain pieces per colour and order with a delivery time of approx. 4 weeks! Above you can see some examples from our production.

Highly industrialised porcelain factories have a ribbon machine that carries out this process automatically. As the basic set-up and colour combination are very time-consuming, a ribbon machine is only worthwhile for really large runs - which unfortunately nobody wants these days...
