This item is made of feldspar porcelain, one of the oldest and most proven materials for degusting and presenting food and hot drinks. Because of the high firing temperature and the resulting hardness and density, it is also called hard porcelain. Feldspar porcelain is always oven-safe, suitable for the microwave and dishwasher-safe.
Quality level:
This item is classified into the quality level High Quality as the best sorting with a ratio of approx. 95/5 a-b-grade. The glaze is even and shiny. The item is free from visual flaws. In very few cases minor pinholes or light refractions can still be seen when reviewed carefully. As porcelain is a natural product, the item is "top" but not "perfect". This quality level is comparable e.g. with Bauscher, Schönwald, Rosenthal, Villeroy & Boch, RAK and many other well-known premium brands.

The Christmassy, wintery relief porcelain "Ceremony" is a design development from Holst Porzellan/Germany, created and designed in 2023 by co-partner Alina Riesen. Ceremony dispenses with garish colours and overloaded motifs, emphasising the beauty and sensuality of Christmas tableware in a delicate relief that provides a sensual setting for the delicacies and treats laid out. Ceremony stands for a timeless, simple and elegant porcelain series, made from real hard porcelain for eternity, which can be enjoyed anew every year. The porcelain bears a delicate relief of snowflakes, fir trees and stars, merging the porcelain with the wintery, festive atmosphere in a timeless elegance. Many Christmas dishes, especially those with bright, vibrant colours, are made from low-fired ceramics or imitation porcelain. Some of them are labelled on the boxes or packaging "Not suitable for dishwashers" or "Please wash by hand only". There is no need for a note on microwave suitability, as this does not have to be expressly excluded for crockery. The rule of thumb is that the more colourful the decoration, the more likely the colours are to release foreign substances into the food and drink. This is particularly dangerous if the serving surfaces of bowls, plates and platters are decorated with richly coloured motifs. Such crockery really only does what it is supposed to do, namely look good. Such items are perfect in display cabinets, on chests of drawers or as decorations around the Christmas tree.
