Delivery Units

Delivery and packaging units from Holst Porzellan

In accordance with our sales orientation as a partner to the trade, our logistics and also our terms and conditions are focussed on cooperation with the reselling trade. The old law of the trade - the larger the purchase volume, the better the price - naturally also applies to Holst Porzellan. However, we also have to orientate ourselves according to the rules of the market and, as is well known, trade is also change. The picking of single-variety pallets is unfortunately becoming less and less and the proportion of individual customer commissions is increasing from day to day.

Where we used to pick a single-variety pallet from our high-bay level 4 using a forklift truck, we now have to lower it, open it, remove a master box, lift out a set carton and raise the partial pallet again and store it. Based on the sales of a pallet of 1,296 coffee cups (36 master boxes), the time required for storage has increased from 3.5 minutes to 182 minutes. That is 5,200% more picking time. In addition, there are more and more original retail tasks that we have to perform as a drop-ship partner, fulfilment service provider and in drop-ship business.

As these requirements change, we learn new things every day and constantly endeavour to meet the different requirements of our trading partners. Logistics and transport of porcelain account for more than 25% of the price before the first soup is served in a Holst lion's head tureen.

Therefore an urgent appeal at this point

Organise your orders as economically and ecologically as possible. Protect your wallet and the environment in equal measure with a structured ordering system. Every single shipping package creates packaging waste, however environmentally friendly it may be. Every transport route costs money, petrol and causes enormous peripheral costs. A lack of staff is not only a shortage in an affluent society, but also a result of our changing values. Where one driver used to move 52 wagons of goods, today it takes an armada of lorries and courier vehicles.

Thank you!

Delivery units from Holst Porzellan

As a rule, we supply the following packaging units:

  • Wholesale: unmixed Euro pallets (120 cm x 80 cm x height 150 cm)
  • Retail trade: single-variety master boxes
  • Retail trade: outer or set cartons

Of course, we also realise mixed pallets with several items for wholesalers if required. However, as you have learnt here, small delivery quantities cause up to 5,200% higher costs. For this reason, we always charge the net retail price for deliveries of packaging units of less than one master box per item, even to wholesalers!
